Creation week 1 @The Point Eastleigh

Posted on: February 15th, 2016 by Antonia Grove

Great week being creative in The Creation Space at The Point in Eastleigh.

We have Lift off with the project, ‘NOW YOU SEE IT’,  and its getting out of my head and off the paper and out into the space.

The sharing to staff on the friday provided me with some lovely thoughtful, insightful, encouraging and intelligent responses to the work so far. The Point staff are a curious, engaged and supportive bunch, which makes what you are trying to do as an artist feel worthwhile!

I also took my Art Desk project with me and set it up in the offices four the staff to make use of. This was the first time I had set it up after its success in the South East Dance offices last year. Wasn’t sure how it might go down and whether the staff would get into it… well they REALLY did, and by the end of the week there was a full wall of work they had created- fun, political, emotional, crazy. It seemed to be a real stress buster.

I’ve let them hold on to it over the coming weeks, on their demand, and given them the task to respond to my sharing through art! I look forward to seeing how they respond to the heading ‘Now You See It’
